CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR RYPEN

Overview

Rotary believes in developing the next generation of leaders and has a strong history of supporting youth development and leadership. Our club supports this goal and provides a range of opportunities for young people to get involved in the work of Rotary in the community as well as to gain new skills and knowledge.

Below you will find details of the the programs that our club supports which are suitable for youth and young people in a range of age groups. If you are keen to have fun, learn fantastic new skills, make new friends and create memories that will last a lifetime then click on the link for the program you are interested in to send us an email. We will then get in touch with you to discuss your suitability for the program and possible financial sponsorship assistance.

Programs

14 -16 MAY 2022

Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)

Designed for 14-16 year olds, RYPEN builds life and leadership skills.  Held as a weekend residential camp the program costs $295 per participant and sponsorship may be available.

17 – 22 JANUARY 2022

Rotary Youth Transition Seminar (RYTS)

Designed for 16-18 year olds, RYTS challenges participants to learn about themselves and what they are capable of and prepare for the transition from school to work or further study. Held as a six day residential camp the program costs $590 per participant and sponsorship may be available.

25 – 30 JANUARY 2022

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

Designed for 19-29 year olds, RYLA promotes proactivity, personal and professional development. Held as a week long residential camp, the program costs $650 per participant.  A $100 deposit is required and sponsorship of the remainder may be available.

JANUARY 2022

National Youth Science Forum (NYSF)

The NYSF Year 12 Program is designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to encourage them to continue their studies in these fields. Held as a week long program in either Canberra or Brisbane, the program costs $3,250 per participant and part sponsorship may be available.

CURRENTLY SUSPENDED

Youth Exchange Program (YEP)

YEP enables students aged 15-18 to study overseas for up to 12 months under a reciprocal hosting arrangement. Costs for various aspects of the exchange are covered by either the parents of the student or Rotary Clubs.
